A MATTER OF TIME

As the years unfold I look back and remember, if one road I took has led me to this place

Did I even have a clue where life would lead me, as my path was covered by amazing grace

It’s a restless soul that wanders on this journey, always questioning each moment that I breathe

Looking back I wonder if I could have changed things, as a broken heart is trying to believe

Every day goes by and nothing else can stop them. Is there meaning, what’s the purpose, do You hear?

And I wonder if I missed a road not taken. If I listen will I hear Your voice so clear?

I can’t count the days I’ve longed for where life’s going. As my soul shakes I try to do my best

Being still within Your presence Lord I’m humbled. All my being longs to love You and find rest

If I tell you where I’m going please believe me. I’m just following a path that’s undefined

Every memory just surrounds a heart that’s healing, ‘til forever brings me home, let Your light shine

This life is after all . . . just a matter of time . . .

As the hours turn to minutes in this lifetime. I am thankful for each blessing I can say

Never knowing what each second has to offer. There’s a Love beyond this world that lights my way

As Your Spirit gives me hope within each promise. Makes me sad to think of Love I might have missed

I will take each breath for You now and forever. Never ever been a moment quite like this

If I awaken from this dream will I be lonely?

I just love You even more than words can say . . .

Will I ever get it right, Thy will be with me. Lord just hold me in Your arms, that’s where I’ll stay
