ECHOES OF MY HEART

In the echoes of my heart where joy and sorrow still reside

I don’t know how much of this life still remains

Though my will keeps pushing forward, I can’t read between the lines

Not defeated I still praise Your Holy Name

Early I will seek You as I’m looking for the dawn

Knowing nothing else can matter but Your love

Will You reason with my heart God as it runs down lonely roads

Mercy echoes through my heart just like a flood

My heart longs for You oh God within this dry and thirsty land

As my heart breaks drive me deeper to Your well

I collapse in all my weakness, desperate . . . strength all but gone

Please restore my breath within me always dwell

The view inside my heart is far from perfect this I know

As I struggle take my life, my mind renew

I will reach my hands to touch You, every heartbeat’s only Yours

Looking back You promised “I will carry you . . . “

I am flooded with emotions, on my journey through the pain

There’s no place on earth for me but here with You

I’ve been rescued from this wasteland and Your mercy path is mine

Love unleashed to me more than I ever knew

Help me rest within Your presence and delight in You My God

In the comfort of Your arms I long for peace

And my lips will praise forever . . . bring me back . . . please wait for me

Eternal promise, this life’s breath is oh so brief

After all is said and done my God still hears me . . .

Through the echoes of my heart, lay my life down . . .

Voices echo through my heart, my eyes are open . . .

I will lay all my burdens down . . .
